8-20-20   THOUGHTS

We speak of “something DAWNING on us.  “It just dawned on me that my memory is failing.”  I could have used a better example, but you get the idea.  Things progressed to a moment of ENLIGHTENMENT!

2Pet 1:19-21    [So] we have the prophetic word [made] more sure, to which you do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star arises in your hearts.  20  But know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one’s own interpretation,  21  for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.

2Pet 1:3-4     seeing that His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence  4  For by these He has granted to us His precious and magnificent promises, so that by them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world by lust.

Michael sends us a “LINK” each Sunday morning whereby we can live stream our worship services.  You can be with us, at least in a way.  I submit to each of us that the verses above are a LINK to eternal life.  GOD’S WORD MUST “DAWN” ON ME!  
Did you catch the KEY?       “ to which you do well to pay attention”!
Actually it is “pay attention UNTIL...”    Until what?  
UNTIL THE AWESOME BEAUTY OF “GOD’S PLAN TO SAVE MAN DAWNS ON YOU!”  This isn’t just an acknowledgment or a head-knowledge dawning, this is totally absorbed, internalized forever DAWNING.  It is LIFE CHANGING!  It is the “fire in the belly” DAWNING that motivates the rest of my life!  I BECOME, WHAT I NOW UNDERSTAND!      “As a man thinks in his heart...so is he.”
We are promised everything “that pertains to life and godliness.”  We are promised that we can be “partakers of the divine nature.”  I find this AWESOME!
Luke 1:77-79   To give to His people the knowledge of salvation By the forgiveness of their sins, 78  Because of the tender mercy of our God, With which the Sunrise from on high will visit us,  79  TO SHINE UPON THOSE WHO SIT IN DARKNESS AND THE SHADOW OF DEATH, To guide our feet into the way of peace."
Do you truly want to be happy?  Stay with it UNTIL! No one will have to encourage you to “STAY WITH IT” after that!    See Ex 21:6 & Deut 15:17

My Prayer:
Thank you Oh God for the eternal truth of Jesus.  Thank you for light, and a way back to yourself.  Thank you for peace and adoption.  Thank you for the joy of your salvation.  Help us to praise you always.
